Abstract
This IDC study provides detailed analysis, conclusions, and forecasts regarding the dynamics of the disk storage systems market in Poland. The information in this study is intended to provide an understanding of the changes and opportunities facing the storage industry in this emerging market. Our 2008 figures and analysis are based on information gathered from interviews with the leading IT companies (vendors, distributors, assemblers, systems integrators, and value-added resellers) in the disk storage systems market. "Investments in disk storage systems declined 6.2% year on year in 2008 as a result of the poor economic situation. Polish companies have focused particularly on networked storage systems as a way of managing their increasing volumes of data. This trend is further driven by the fact that the price per networked gigabyte continued to decline at a significant rate, making networked storage a more viable option." – Senior Research Analyst Pavel Roland, IDC CEMA
